Streets: Sensemurs Project (Valencia, Spain)

Recently in the La Punta area just outside of Valencia, Spain, a group of street artists got together to help the local population protest the actions of the port authority and the local government have taken since 2001. Because of their focus on urban development, locales were forced to move into social housing only 100’s of meters from their old homes and gardens. You can read more about their plight on here & here. “Different environmental and social NGOs joining forces to preserve the culture, […]

Rewind: June 9 – Oct 24

It’s been a while since we last shared some art-related videos with you in our Rewind feature so here are some that you may have missed in the last several months. Leading things off are a couple videos documenting the launch of Liu Bolin’s ready-to-wear collection at New York Fashion Week. Painted for the people behind Artwalk – Saarbrücken, the new piece from the Spanish artist featured some tiles that are a small reference to his mother’s work. Take a look at more in-progress photos below that document him creating yet another memorable wall with his signature pastel still-life imagery, this time with a little different twist. Discuss Aryz here.

Streets: Aryz // Jidar Festival (Morocco)

Recently in Rabat, Aryz had the opportunity to return to Morocco for another mural and to drink “avocado juice.” Painted on the side of a six story building, the beautiful new piece features one of the Spanish artist’s reoccurring still life images. Invited in by the good people of the Jidar Festival, he left a wall covered in his recognizable smooth style and pastel palette that the locals will not soon forget. Discuss Aryz here.

Always up for trying new things, and true to the concept of studies and drawings being the most honest form of […]

Covering the exterior of the building with their distinctive imagery, the two spanish artists skillfully worked around all the architectural details while creating an intriguing juxtaposition between the new and old world. Take a look at more photos below… Discuss Arzy here.
