Bringing his project full circle, the movie documents his travels around the world photographing victimized and impoverished women and then pasting them up in their own neighborhoods and towns, sending a powerful message of hope and strength. Germany got a healthy dosage of JR with his recent opening at Duesseldorf’s Gallery Springmann.Varol. The latest exhibition in JR’s  “Women Are Heroes” project, (previously seen in Paris and London) had much of the town buzzing. The gorgeous gallery was a great space for the French street photographer to showcase his talents. Both the inside and outside were fully utilized by the artist’s signature photo paste-ups. Video: Ed Templeton – “The Cemetery of Reason” @ S.M.A.K.

Ed Templeton recently opened his biggest museum show ever in Belgium at S.M.A.K with over 1200 works from all over the world serving as a mid-career survey for the American photographer and contemporary artist. “The Cemetery of Reason” features old and new work including paintings, photographs, silkscreens, and painted objects, many of which are arranged into some pretty awesome clusters.
