On September 11th, AM attended the solo from Los Angeles-based artist Wayne White at New York’s Joshua Liner Gallery. Entitled Invisible Ruler, the new body of work includes his signature word paintings showing alongside a series on paper he created during a residency at the Rauschenberg Foundation. Completing the exhibition was a group of 15 foot kinetic sculptures, hand constructed from cardboard, highlighting his talents from a time back when he worked on production design for Pee-wee’s Playhouse from which he has won three Emmy Awards. New York-based french artist WK Interact recently collaborated on a project with Major League Baseball’s New York Mets and Citibank. Utilizing his signature motion motif, WK takes the star players from the team and reinterprets their competitiveness for their fans in the Big Apple.
