Faith47 recently took part in the #ANOTHERLIGHTUP project in Capetown, whose goal is to “fund the installation of a street light system into one of Cape Town’s more dangerous neighbourhoods and empower individuals with the potential to be active agents in change.” The Capetown-based artist contributed a new mural & installation entitled Harvest. Using very limited by shiny color palette ranging between gold and gray, she painted an image of an African woman with a round emblem behind her. The contrast between the image and the surrounding is emphasized with lights that are installed within the mural, which go on every time money is donated to the fundraiser or #ANOTHERLIGHTUP is shared on Twitter. This interactive piece was created with the help of Thingking and Design Indaba Trust.
