Sloan Fine Art will be welcoming a new body of work from Edwin Ushiro at the end of this month entitled “”At Night, Lights Fell and Loved Ones Returned Home.” Ushiro’s nostalgic and hauntingly beautiful works are exactly that – paintings based on childhood memories and folklore typically involving ghost stories or the supernatural. For this exhibition in New York, he will “focus specifically on the mystery and histories held by abandoned and forgotten places” of course utilizing his special technique that creates the signature luminosity and almost glowing quality to his work.
